Acceptance
By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
Description of services
RootRecord Business Manager is a Windows desktop application that stores your primary operational database locally on your device unless your organization configures otherwise. Optional features may contact RootRecord servers over HTTPS (for example license or subscription status, sync, or secure backup copy) when you enable or sign in to them.
rootrecord.info provides account sign-up, billing (via Stripe), and related web pages that support the desktop product and your subscription where applicable. Services are provided “as is” and may change over time.
Accounts and your use
You may register for an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your information and for keeping your credentials secure. You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access, disrupt the Services, or misuse other users’ data.
Subscriptions and billing
RootRecord offers a Free tier and a paid Supporter tier for eligible online account features. Payments for those plans are processed by Stripe. See the Billing page for your plan and options. Desktop licensing may depend on the same account and subscription state where the product is configured that way; the application explains read-only or locked states in the UI.
- Free tier: Account and features described on Billing at the time you subscribe or use the service. No payment required for the Free tier.
- Supporter: Paid tier for eligible online account features, as described on Billing (monthly, yearly, or lifetime options when offered).
- Free trial: 7-day trial for new monthly/yearly subscribers where offered. One trial per account unless we state otherwise.
- Payment and renewal: Recurring subscriptions are charged by Stripe. Cancel from the Billing page via “Manage subscription” (Stripe Customer Portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period unless stated otherwise.
- Lifetime: One-time payment for permanent Supporter access where offered. No recurring charges for that purchase.
- If you cancel or lapse, you return to Free. Data is retained subject to our Privacy Policy; premium features are restricted. Billing records for lapsed accounts may be stored for one year, then removed, as described in our policies.
- We may delete accounts that are inactive or that breach these Terms. Deletion is irreversible.
Desktop software: your machine and your data
You are responsible for securing the device where RootRecord Business Manager runs, for maintaining backups of your local database and exports, and for compliance with laws that apply to data you enter. We do not warrant that the desktop software will be error-free or compatible with every environment. Updates may be delivered via installers, the Microsoft Store, or in-app update flows as we provide them.
My Account, data export, and deletion
From your profile you can download your account data and permanently delete your account where those features are available. Deletion may require password confirmation and can be irreversible. Our Privacy Policy describes what data we hold for online services. Local-only desktop data remains on your machine until you delete it or remove the application; use the app’s backup and export tools before uninstalling if you need copies.
Data and privacy
Your use is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You grant us the rights needed to operate the Services.
RootRecord can access and process content you provide to online Services as described in the Privacy Policy. Your privacy controls determine who else can see your content where applicable; the platform retains access for operations described there.
You agree that we may use data from AI report generation to create, train, and improve our own AI models (see Privacy Policy). We do not use it to train third-party commercial models or sell your data.
Encryption and wallet services (no warranty)
No warranty. Encryption and wallet services are provided with no warranties. We serve as a data gatekeeper; you accept all risk. Self-custody is the gold standard. Client-only decryption: Where you keep decryption under your control, only you can decrypt. We cannot recover such data if you lose access.
Availability and disclaimers
We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled unavailability: Online services may be offline from 12:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. HST each day (power saving) where that policy applies. The Services are not a substitute for professional advice. Time-remaining and other estimates are approximate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RootRecord is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or for operational or legal reasons. You may stop using the Services or delete your account at any time where available.
Changes
We may change these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use means you accept the new Terms.

General
These Terms are the entire agreement. If any part is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive it.
