RootRecord Business Manager (desktop)

Where is my data stored?
Your operational database file is stored locally on your computer (the app shows the path). Back it up like any important file; the app can run scheduled local backups.

Do I need an account?
No for core time, money, clients, inventory, and reports. A RootRecord account is used for subscription, sync, and optional secure online backup copy when you enable them.

Why do €œhours worked€ totals differ from a raw sum of rows?
Overlapping clock intervals are merged for unique clock coverage so you are not double-counted when two blocks share the same minutes.

Can I use the app offline?
Yes for core workflows. Sign-in, sync, and secure backup copy need connectivity when you use them.

What if my trial ends or payment is past due?
The app may switch to read-only until billing is current; use Billing on the web or in-app links to fix payment, then refresh status.
